Katherene Osei-Boadi Anguah, PhD
Dr. Anguah’s research interests include obesity, energy regulation and appetite control. Dr. Anguah is interested in studying the neuronal control of appetite and food intake in a bariatric surgery population using the technique of fMRI. Another research focus is the role of indigestible carbohydrates, with emphasis on legumes, called pulses, in metabolism and health in college and low-income populations. Furthermore Dr. Anguah is interested in studying the effects of dietary pulses on brain reward centers as they relate to appetite, cravings and palatability.
