The cost of higher education is escalating. A priority in CAFNR is to increase significantly the number and amounts of scholarships and graduate assistantships that we can offer to prospective students. We strive to increase our competitive advantage relative to our peer programs nationally.

We currently have no endowed professorships or chairs in NEP. The following endowed research positions will support synergistic high-impact research programs. Endowed professorships and chairs are critical to recruit and retain the best faculty and to provide continuous support to their research programs, which will maintain peak productivity. We seek gifts that would fund the following endowments:

Endowed professorships and chairs are critical to recruit and retain the best faculty and to provide continuous support to their research programs, which will maintain peak productivity. We seek gifts that would fund the following endowments:
- Endowed Professorship/Chair in the Physiology of Appetite in Children and Adolescents
Support a faculty member in the general area of satiety, food sensory biology, and macronutrient interactions with satiety or food perception. - Endowed Professorship/Chair in Pre-diabetes
Support a faculty member in the area of translational nutrition/exercise/physiology research related to the metabolic syndrome and prevention of the onset of type 2 diabetes. - Endowed Chair in Nutrition and Human Health
Create a new faculty chair to provide leadership in human nutrition and health with a translational focus. This chair may also be the scientific and administrative leader of the MU Nutritional Center for Health (MUNCH). - Faculty Scholar in Human Health
Support a faculty member in the area of childhood obesity with a translational research program.
Help provide for a research facility for customized diet intervention and behavioral modification of food choice to combat the obesity epidemic and improve the health of Missourians and the nation.
