Dr. Jacqueline Limberg is currently seeking volunteers for the following research studies:

Volunteer for Brain Blood Flow Study!

Participants needed for study designed to learn how reproducible measures of brain blood flow are!

  • Healthy men & women 18-50 years old
  • Free of acute and chronic conditions
  • One 1.5 hour screen visit
  • Six 1-hour research visits, to be completed within 1 week
  • 6 meals provided
  • Study includes diaries/questionnaires related to food and sleep habits
  • Will be required to wear at-home monitoring devices for blood pressure and oxygen monitoring
  • Financial compensation provided

Healthy Women Needed for Sleep Apnea & Blood Pressure Study!

Volunteers needed for study designed to learn about sleep apnea and blood pressure in young women.

  • Healthy women 18-45 years old
  • Free of acute and chronic conditions
  • Currently using oral hormonal birth control pills
  • One 30 minute screen visit via Zoom
  • Two 4-hour research visits in MU-PAW
  • Individual study measurements & financial compensation provided

Help Us Learn About Type 2 Diabetes!

Participate in a research study examining how diabetes changes the way the nervous system controls blood pressure.

  • Men & women, 18-65 years old who are overweight, pre-diabetic, or diabetic.
  • Most diabetic, cholesterol, and blood pressure medications allowed!
  • Exclusions: current nicotine use, pregnancy, alpha-blockers, beta-blockers, SSRIs
  • Monetary compensation provided.
  • Two short research visits with flexible scheduling.

Healthy Participants Needed for a Research Study!

Are you a healthy adult between the ages of 35-65 years old? If so, you may be eligible to participate in research to determine whether small organs in your neck (carotid bodies) are important in controlling blood sugar. This study includes one 2-hour screen visit and two 2.5-hour study visits with flexible scheduling and monetary compensation provided. Results from your body composition scan, cholesterol, and blood sugar available to you!
